Here's a thread on AVS discussing this awesome sub!

Bummer. Does she let you have a pole in the bedroom? Sorry I coudn't resist ops:

You might want to look at JL Audio Fathom F113 sub. From all reports it puts out solid bass, and it just a little cube.

I've read great things about the JL as well, but it doesn't come cheap at $3,200!

I have a marginally functional (missing the front cover and the amp had a hum) asw 3000 and a pair of those THX PCS8's. I guess those are just the LF drivers in their own cabinet, not a sub per say.
              Cool.

That must be some tight low end right there. I currently have 1 DB1 and planning to get a second one

Not me, and I never would, I think the B&W subs are medicore at best and are far out matched by so many other subs on the market and are way over pirced given their performance, especially the DB1's.

2xDB1's, 2xCTS15's and 2xCTSW10's. Having had a few other brands in the same price range as the DB1's, its a superior product in terms of sound, finish, engineering and functionality.

That must be the reason we have been having tremors in Johannesburg lately.
I just imagine how solid the bass is in your room

Yes, I have an ASW750 to go with my 803Ds. I fantasize about a better sub but in the meantime the music sounds great. I think the secret is to have good floorstanders.

                                                Yes I have 3!
2 PV1s with XTs for the AV man cave and one DB1 with 805 D's for the stereo setup upstairs.
BTW the DB1 is extraordinary, as fast and clean as the PV with a lot deeper extension and a lot higher possible loudness. It leaves the output of my 2 combined PVs in the dust. A ballerina and a gorilla in one box. On the other hand, take the compact dimension claim wit a few grains of salt, it is a big box that takes a significant amount of space and weighs a backbreaking 100lbs.

                                                            Hi,

I bought an used ASW700 and the cabinet is not perfect. I want to refinish. Has anyone open the driver? I do not want chemical accidentally get into the driver. The cabinet is in cherry and I want to make it into a darker color and close to rosenut color.

                                                            Thank...

After months of planning, reading and auditioning I have decided on 803D fronts with HTM2D ctr with Rotel 1570/1575 combo. Exhausted my funds and hence no rears at this time. My query is what sub to get? I had initially intended to get the ASW700...
