    B&W 802N and Bryston 14B

Does this combination produce very much bass? I have the above and have found that the system is bass poor. Anybody with experience with this? I have just moved to a new house and the bass is almost non existent. At the old place it was adequate but certainly not big.
    Any help would be appreciated.

    amdan,

What is the room like that these are in. Size? Enclosed? The room might be having a big impact on it.

You might simply need some bass traps. They work well and definitely cost less than an amp (although amp upgrades are so much fun).

    hope this helps.

      Class CAM 350 vs Bryston 14B ST with B&W 802N - opinion
      by amdan
My local dealer had a couple of Classe CAM 350 monoblocks for sale and was kind enough to allow me to home trial. The only reason I trialed them was the loyal Classe following in this forum. Many of you maintain that Classe and B&W are an excellent match. I have also seen a few posts elsewhere saying...

      Bryston - B&W
      by amdan
For a long while I have been grappling with imaging and brightness issues with my system. I had thought it was a problem with power but have recently discovered that it is a component issue. My setup is as follows:

      Cary 303/300 CDP
      Supratek Sauvignon tube pre-amp
      Bryston...

What is the maximum power a speaker can handle
      by amdan
I have read somewhere that there is no maximum amplifier power for a speaker as long as it is clean power.

I run my 802N with a Bryston 14B ST which delivers 570W. From memory the speaker is rated 50 - 500 W. I have had no problems with this setup. However, I am considering biamping....

      802N-Mark Levinson 432,Classe M400,Bryston 14BSST Upgrade from Bryston 6BSST
      by rohit1712
I hear that ML 432+B&W 802N is a Great Combination!!! Not Sure.

My 6BSST+802N combination is Ok. But, The Brightness & Hollowness is really unbearable at times. I had to reduce the Treble on my Lexicon for that.

Since auditioning is not possible for me due to my...

      Bryston 14B SST with 803D
      by gerardhn
Iám able to buy a second hand 14B SST. So auditioning is more difficult than buying new at a dealer. My experience tells me that the 14B SST should be a good match for 803D. Is there any comment/experience on this. ???
Later on I may find the 26 pre amp.
