Bryston 14B SST with 803D

Iám able to buy a second hand 14B SST. So auditioning is more difficult than buying new at a dealer. My experience tells me that the 14B SST should be a good match for 803D. Is there any comment/experience on this. ???
Later on I may find the 26 pre amp.

I am using the Bryston 7B SST on a pair of B&W 802Ds. They are great! The clarity and detail are superb.Bass is full and highs/med are crystal clear. In MHO you could spend more but not get much better.

I have also got the 7BSST with some 802s - great combination.
I didn't realise that the 14BSST was actually out yet - let alone availabel second hand - or am I thinking about somehting else?

Yes of course - I was thinking about the new 28BSST - 1200 watts into 8 ohms, 2000 into 4 ohms - this must surely be brute of an amp!

NO! it is meant for driving difficult loads like the 800 series to decent high volume levels withoutany fuss.

This is my first response with this forum so I hope it gets through. I use a Bryston 14bsst with my 802D's. The sound is wonderful. Articulate, warm bass with brilliant "tinkling" highs. I also use a deHavilland tube preamp and a Wadia 302 cdp. Go for it!
