BW703+Rotel Receiver - Hissing Noise - Very audiable

Folks,

I have newly introduced a Samsung Bluray into the setup and had to redo some connections (HDMI usage) on the Rotel receiver. I started observing a constant HISSING noise, audiable 6 feet away from my equipment. Do not know what is causing this. I haven't tried unhooking any equipment yet but wanted to know what might be causing this. I am not sure if the bluray player introduced this or due to the fact I reconnected some in the back. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I can hear this noise the moment I turn on the Rotel even without playing anything. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Perla,

Start with the simple stuff first. Makes sure all things are plugged in correctly, all interconnects are snug and that the speaker wires are wired in porperly.

When you turn on the Rotel and hear the noise, is any other source already on?
