Opinions on B&W CDM 7NT plus centre?

What's your thoughts on these? What amp would you suggest? May buy a pair plus matching centre that's for sale for US$1150. Room size is 4m by 10m approx, musical tastes indie, rock, funk,
    Thanks

I owned a pair of cdm 7nt with matching center and rears. They were great speakers, I owned them for 5 years. I sold mine to a friend, his room size closely matches yours. If turned up loud it trie's to fill the room, but you cant talk without yelling, sound is distant. it doesn't envelope the room. but there still playing strong.(he's using a 15 yr old onkyo integra 909 pro as his receiver) im sure that makes a difference. NOT as many watts and NOT as clean.
Your room size is very large, you may want to consider the 800 series if you have the extra money. The amps I used were rotel rmb1090, rmb1095, 1068 pre-pro

I have 9NT, CNT and SNT in my theater. My room isn't as big as yours, but I'd not be worried about them performing very well for you. I have an emotiva IPS 7 channel amp. It has 150 wpc, and really makes them sing. I think the system sounds terrific together. The 7nts should be similar as well.

I'd suggest you look at the emotiva line of amps. www.emotiva.com

I have a pair of CDM 7NT's, which I opted to purchase instead of the new 704's or 703's because: (i) I thought that the midrange sounded superior to the new 700's and (ii) because the...

        CDM 9NT v. CDM 7NT
        by gostan
I currently have 7nt's for fronts and 1 nt's for rears. I have an opportunity to purchase either a pair of used 7nt's or 9nt's. I could then use the 1nt's in my second zone. My existing stereo-ht room is too small for 7.1, but I would then be ready for 7.1 in the future. The 7's have a nice laid back...

        1062 and cdm 7nt

Excellent website. I am so glad to find it.

I am powering my B&W 7nt speakers with a 1062 integrated. A friend of mine over for a listen suggested that i was underpowered. I've been given advice to add a RB 1070 amp. Is this really necessary to get the best 2 channel sterio sound...

        by NHT
At the time, Im using regular 16 gauge wires(biwired) from my Rotel to B&W CDM-7NTs setup but its time for an upgrade to better speaker wires. I need some recommendation for the best bang for the buck speaker wires. Any suggestions? My budget is 200-300. Any suggestions would greatly be app...
