Setting up Panny BD55 w/ Rotel RSP 1066

    Hi all,

Well after a year or so of drooling, stress, late nights reading numerous threads with opinion after opinion and the deal hunting , I finally got myself an RSP 1066 with a Rotel RSX 1075. 8)

Now after finding out my recently gifted Sony BDP-S350 can only play the new HD Dolby and DTS-HD via HDMI Im taking it back and getting (based on numerous opinions) the Panasonic BD55.

Since I will be running analog interconnects from the player to the RSP and more interconnects from the RSP to the RMB. I currently have 2 Audioquest Diamondbacks and 2 Audioquest Copperheads. I just dont want to spend much more at the moment on stupid expensive cables.

So... I guess the question is where do I place the AQ cables and how can I get the biggest banf for my buck on interconnects?

Sorry if this sounds dumb but I am a newbie!

    Thanks fella's! ;x( ;x( ;x(

    97disco,

Diamondbacks on your L-R mains, the copperheads on the center and sub. Find a third pair of something fairly comparable for the rears.

    Hope this helps.

      RSP - 1068 / 1066 : Progressive Scan?
      by Stevebez
My supplier of the RSP 1066, told me I need to hook up my DVD component output directly to my Plasma as the 1066 could not handle a Progressive Scan Output.

I have noticed on the 1068 back panel that there is an additional component input, but was wondering if this would handle a Progressive...

Just purchased the 1066 and 1075. Was wondering what audio interconnects everybody used. Not looking to spend a fortune.

      Long Interconnects and Rotel
      by terry78
Has anyone used really long interconnects (about 25 feet) with the RSP-1066? I'm thinking of adding an RB-1050 and a pair of center rear speakers to my RSP-1066/RMB-1075 combo to get a full seven channel system. I could put the new amp back by the speakers and use a 12 year old pair of Straight Wire...

      Rotel RDV-1060 vs Panasonic BD55?
      by 97disco
I just picked up a Rotel RDV-1060 for $40! Heck, for that price I wanted to see how it would preform and wanted something that would match my current system.

Keep in mind, I'm no high roller (obviously). My current setup is:

      Rotel RSP-1066
      Rotel RMB 1075
