Hi,
New member and my first post. I must say that this is a great audio forum and I have discovered alot of good info and I plan on contributing where I can.
Since you have a dedicated B&W thread, I thought I would ask a question. I am a fan of B&W stuff and have owned many different lower-end models. My latest acquisition was a pair of 603 s2's. These replaced the old 603 s1's.
Much to my surprise, the s1's sounded better than the s2's. I use a Rotel RA970BX and connected to the S1's produced fantastic sound and bass. When connected to the S2's, the sound is good but not fantastic and lacks bass and requires much more volume to get the same level of sound as opposed to the S1's.
I had a set of 602 S3's in another room, so I swapped them around and they sound better than the S2's.
Could there be something wrong with the S2's?
