Are there any htm4 owners who are happy matched with their 805s here??

Sorry guys if this should be in its own thread or I can ask on the existing one but thought the topic was totally different now, I'm torn on the htm4 and htm3 now and do you guys think its a significant difference between the two?

I've heard countless times that the center piece is the most important part of the 5.1 or 7.1 setup and now I'm thinking about paying the extra $1000 more just for the htm3's.

But I'll still be using the 805s as my front L/R and was wondering if anyone here is running the htm3 or the htm4 with the 805s and if you guys can give me your opinion, much appreciated.

Have you tried the 804 vs 805 test. The HTM3 will stand out sonically in the same way - not ideal unless you are going for 804S or 803S at a later date.

I've heard the 804 but that was like a year ago, I cant remember. I know that it wont match and possibly drown out the 805s but then I hear that the center piece should still sound best.

So basically the htm4 is another 805s just built laterally??

Exactly. It doesn't get much better as far as matching the l/r/c speakers.

So a HTM3 is made for a 803 and is an 803 on its side?

Would the HTM4 center pice match the R/L 804S??
            by jjahshik32
I've been reading around on these forums and found one thread where someone upgraded from 804S to 803S and he owned the HTM3 which matched much better with the 803S.

I guess if the HTM3 matches the 803S would the HTM4 match the 804S better?

            HTM3s or new HTM4 Diamond?
            by RedRock
            Hello,
I'm new to the forum and would like some advise on which B&W center speaker would best match the new 804 diamonds. My choices are the HTM3s, new HTM4-diamond, or the new HTM2-diamond. It seems that the HTM3s may be a good match based on the configuration (3-way) and equivalent size...

            Advice on 804 Rear Speakers
            by PhotoRobot
            I currently am running a Rotel 1068/RMB1075 combo with B&W 804 (pre S) and HTM2.

Now that I have choked and paid off my system after 2 years, I am wondering what my next move should be.

My dealer insists that my rears should be Nautilus 805S.

            I am wondering...

            htm4 or htm7 for 703?
            by alpina
            hi all,

i have been following the threads on the group and have noted that the htm7 is not the perfect perfect match that b&w would have us believe for the 703's

i have a friend that is currently in the market for 703's but cannot afford the htm3's. should he buy...

            Just purchased the HTM4!
            by jjahshik32
I went over to the local b&w dealer and checked out the HTM4. Wow this thing is small but I was in a theatre room about the size of 35x45 (pretty big) and the HTM4 was the only center piece under the projection screen and wow this thing is LOUD and very clear and I am extremely happy with this...
