    Advice on 804 Rear Speakers

    I currently am running a Rotel 1068/RMB1075 combo with B&W 804 (pre S) and HTM2.

Now that I have choked and paid off my system after 2 years, I am wondering what my next move should be.

My dealer insists that my rears should be Nautilus 805S.

I am wondering what I should do. Do I really need to go all out on the rears? Are they going to be timber matched. Also, should I replace my centre channel which has always seemed a little mismatched to the 804's.

My pre-amp is also plum out of component inputs.

Any help or advice will be taken under careful consideration.

    Regards,

I'm not sure about the center channel; you may want to look for a used HTM1. For the rear speakers you could go with the SCM1s. I was in a store the other day and these sounded good. I believe these are the predecessors to the current SCMS speakers.

      Hi all!

I'm a newbie to this board and can't believe I found this dedicated B&W board!

Anyway, I have a 10 year old Kenwood HT system passed down to me by
my father. It cost around $4-5000 10 years ago! Still sounds pretty good,
      but I'm itching so bad...

Looking for more rear surround advice

I'm still looking to add two rear speakers in a 5.1 system for movies. I currently have the CDM7NT's and matching center. I'm looking for any helpful advice on what rear speaker set up might give me the best sound for movies with my situation - which is, no rear wall. So, speakers would have to go...
