B&W 803S vs N803

Has anyone listened and compare these two? How much different is it? I'm looking at some used N803 (cheaper that way for my budget).

Used N803's are around $2600-$3200 depending on color/condition and the 803S is now $6000. The S series is definitely not $3k+ better. The s has slightly improved bass and a revised tweeter that gives better highs. I heard both of these speakers side by side (use to own N803's) and the differences were so minute. Yea its nice to have the improved bass buts its not worth the extra $3k cost.

Thanks. What would be a good used 2 channel amp or receiver to drive the N803 or 803S.

On the cheap end I would do a Rotel RB-1080 on the higher end I always like Classe stuff. The older Classe stuff can be a real bargin sometimes..

My thoughts exactly, I drive my N803's with older Classe gear and am VERY happy with the sound.

what kind of budget do you have?

Around 1k for a used AMP and $500 for a used DVD player (prefer it could play MP3)
