Just wondering if you have a chance to purchase a used but perfectly working condition N803 and HTM1 together for us$5000, would you buy it? Or get the 803s and HTM3s.

I would see if you could get that price down a little maybe $4800 or so. I use to have the N803's and have heard them against the new "S" series and the difference was hardly noticeable in my opinion. Granted the bass seemed to be a little tighter but the upper end almost seemed identical. I suggust letting your ears decide. Is the little performance worth the extra $2k or so if your getting the N803's for $3.5k, because I believe the new "S" series is $5.5k plus tax..dan87951

I'm upgrading my HT system, selling CDM9NT/CDMCNT combo for N803/HTM1 combo. Have existing side surrounds but will eventually upgrade to DS7's (DS8 too big). I am currently using Proceed PAV+PDSD feeding Proceed Amplification for the center channel, using Mark Levinson 23.5 driving front channels, cheap amplifier driving the rear surrounds.
My current set-up are as follows: N803, HTM1 and SCM1. I had a Mirage BPS-400 sub that I sold recently..... -
Anybody hear any differences with N803 and HTM1 front speakers and 803D and HTM2d speakers? I may have an opportunity for an upgrade, but I'm not sure if it's worth the extra money. Is there a significant improvement? Opinions? -
