Well, I did it..... 7.1 for me :-)

I have been reticent to go to 7.1 from 5.1, but I was by the audio store and I was feeling somewhat flush...........
So I brought home another pair of XT2's and an RB 1080..... :B
There still in their boxes for the big project tomorrow.
This is how the set up will end up:
The 1080 will be driving the XT4 mains
The 1095 will will be driving the XTC and 4 XT2
    I will continue to run the 2 PV1's from the 1068 LFE's.
I'll post back when the deed is done. I guess I'll have to update the pics.

The Xt2 is a very musical speaker. Note, however, that as might be expected low frequencies are not its forte, below 80HZ or so sub support is essential, better yet is to mix them with a PV1 set at 120hz. You will not be disappointed. They would be perfect for a normal size room. Dispersion is excellent as with the XT4. Another option is the XTC used vertically since they offer higher output capacity. Both the XTC and XT2 come with wall mounting brackets, only the XT2 works with stands. Another point to consider is that the XT2, as the rest of the series, is quite inefficient.

Do you have pictures of your setup? I would like to see them, maybe i´ll go with a similar system in the future.
Why did you get the XT series instead of other B&W series leke 600´s or CM´s?

Hi, One of the most popular threads in Club Rotel is an area where members can post pictures of their Rotel equipment... I thought - why not  join the party in our own club! So let’s use this thread to post pictures of any aspect of your B&W setups that you've all invested so much energy in! Some examples might

                    1 x RMB-1095 vs 3 x RB-1080?
                    by hired goon
                    G'day,

I've currently got an RMB-1095 5x200w amp, about 2 weeks old. For a few hundred dollars, I can trade this in to get 3 x RB-1080 2x200w amps.

I'm wondering about the advantages and disadvantages of such a move.

This is what I've come up with:

RT-1080 tuner - display is too dim
                    by kneptune
I just traded in an early version of the current RT-1080 tuner (was black version) for a newer silver version of the 1080 tuner (had to make it match the silver RSP-1098 - for the all important WAF).

As per the RT-1080 owner's manual addendum, the newer 1080's display now functions slightly...

Okay, I'm looking for a little bit of help here...

I have both the 1095 and 1080 and am trying to figure out which one I want to push my mains (B&W DM604 S3s). Right now I have the RMB-1095 since I haven't gotten my 1080 back off my friend (he's using it for right now until his amp...

                    by jlee
Hello. I currently have an RMB-1095 5 channel amp. Couldn't be happier with it. Best amp for the money without a doubt. I've had this setup for 2 years now and was thinking of upgrading. I was going to slowly move towards the Classe SSP-30 MkII processor and CAV-180 5 channel amp, but they have been...
