B&W 703's with a HTM61?

After all the talk about the HTM7 that doesn't match the 703's;

Would the HTM61 from the 600 series be a better match for those who don't want to go all the way up to the 800 series...? It has a FST!

Maybe it would even look (not sound) better than matching the 800 tweeter with the 700 one.


I'm not going surround anytime soon but I'm really curious

If I were going to use 703 in a HT I would definitely audition the HTM61.

its sad that they never made another centre in the 700 series to match the 703
yet they have 2 in the 600 series and heaps in the 800 series.
I just bought a 3rd 703 but i know this won't suit everyone

The HTM1 is a pretty good match with the 703's. It's not a perfect match, but it is a much better match than the HTM7.

That is a question I ran by my dealer, with 3 or 4 centres in the 800 series and 2 in the 600 series why only 1 in the 700 series. B&W could take everything inside a 703 and mount it horizontally and you could have a perfect match for the L/R. I am sure it would be priced lower than where the 800 series centres come in. Either that or they are "forcing" buyers who are in the 700 series level to jump to the 800 series for their next upgrade.
