    Good time yesterday

Well I went to a B&W presentation yesterday organized with the Criteria ppl up in FT. Lauderdale Florida, anyways had a chance to meet some really nice people. I met the President of Criteria really nice guy and he was able to demonstrate the 800 and the 802 series for me in stereo setup and 5.1, well him and a B&W representative that I dont recall his name right now and goes on this forum by annonimouse..., I have to say I was really really impressed by the sound of the 800's they are more clear sounding thanmy 705's, but the biggest diffrence is how fuller the sound feels, it does not feel thin like mine hence the speaker size... , sound stage was quite bigger than mine, now this could be due to the fact the room was pretty small, so they werent set apart much, overall there is a really big diffrence, and I do plan on aquiring these in the next 5 mths or so together with some classe equpiment, nothing big just wanted to comment on my expierience.

Thanks for sharing Juan. As an 800D and Classé Delta owner myself, I find the combination quite blissful too. :B Not only were the two brand names voiced in perfect harmony with one another they were stylishly created by the same designer, Morton Warren.

800D. It's all about the music.
          by Jesse111
Yesterday it was some of Bach's greatest hits, and Metallica's Reload CD. All at about 50 watts. I've got nothing to say really but sometimes you just have to share the passion.

After some 150 hours on the speakers and some 50 or so hours on the front end, the soundstage and musical delivery...

          800D Employs Superior Crossovers
          by RebelMan
Well folks the debate about the crossovers used in the D models of B&W’s newest 800 Series speakers rages on with renewed life. Thanks to the photo Race Car Driver dug up in another thread showing the crossover network in the base of the 802D plinth proves different crossover components are used...

800D and VLT but what about HT?
          by MikeS
I was really into audio gear in the 1970s (yes, I'm old) and was able to try many tube components of the era from Marantz, Mac, early ARC and more. My last set-up was a Marantz 8B amp (fantastic highs), Mac C22 pre-amp (good highs, mediocre bass) with 15" JBL woofers, Altec drivers/horns and ElectroVoice...

          801d and 800d
          by thaile88
          Hi all!!

Do you have any experience compare A/B between the 801D and 800D? If you do can you tell me something about it.

1: Is the bass between the 800d and 801D that much difference? (the punch, bass-weight, deep,v..v?????)

          2: i think in the 800d model,...

upgrade 802D to 800D or amps?
          by Relentless
I have an have an opportunity to upgrade my 802D to 800D for around $6500.
The 802's are about 3 months old and the 800's will be new. Or I can get a pair of MC501 amps for the same price. I have enough amp to drive the 800D's now but nowhere near there potential so I will need new amps but I...
