Now I know why consecutive serial numbers!

In another thread we argue for these...
    I recently bought a pair of 802D!
What I realised is that each pair of 800 I have and my HTM1D all have a different yellow color mid driver!
I'm not saying a little different!
    It is very noticeable!
So they are selling numbered pairs just to give you 2 speakers of the exactly same keblar tone :T

Also I believe that the wood grain on the veneers are matched as close as possible.
Now I dont know for sure but I think a speaker company such as B&W may match drivers in the 800 Series.

Yup, from my understanding its the matching of the woodgrain.

        Help With Serial Numbers
        by Jody
I was hoping somenbody here might be able to interpret the following serial number for a RSP-1066.

        FR019713081118239A

As the new 1068 is soon to arrive I can get a pretty decent deal on a 1066 demo that the store here in town has.

        I was wondering based on...

        B&W serial numbers
        by audiojunky
I recently got a brand new B&W 804s and noticed that that serial numbers at the back were something like 0003xx7 and 0003xx8

Does that mean that that only around 4000 odd B&W 804s speakers (or 2000 pairs) have been built all over the world till date?

        That seems...

        B&W 703 missing serial numbers
        by Mark_89
I've recently purchased a nice pair of second-hand B&W 703 speakers in rosenut as a replacement for my black 703s. Now I was installing the new 703s and noticed something very weird: the stickers on the terminal tray for the new speakers have a very odd arrangement and are both missing the serial...

"New" amps for the N802... was it worth it?... look inside.
        by Race Car Driver
OK, quick breakdown of how this has evolved...

About a year and a half ago, I aquired some N802s, and at that time I didnt have much money for an amp, so I picked up a used Aragon 4004.

Immediate thoughts, works, sounds good, but as suspected, needed some more power, the...

        by paazel
        Hello:
        I have an Rotel RSX-972, B&W 602s2 (front), LCR-6s2 (center), 601s2 (surround), and a Velodyne SPL-1000 (sub).
