Does the B&w 803s sound good with MF A5

I just bought the Musical Fidelity A5 integrated Amp and A5 CD player.
My question is will the 803s sound good with my combo? will it be warm or bright? will the bass be deep and slam hard with my setup?

I heard my musical fidelity a5 pre-power with the 703 floor stander and thought they matched well producing sound that appealed to my ears.

Very nice integrated the A5, its sound is pretty close to neutral. And lovely player the A5cd works beautifully well with other A5 gear. fluid liquid sort of sound.

best thing you can do is take the A5 CD player and integrated into the dealers and deme there to check for your self.

I own B&W 803s, MF A5 Integrated and A5 CD player.
I can tell the sound is warm and bright, but bass missses a bit slam and is not very tight (at least in my difficult room. Because I was not fully satisfied about the sound of the 803s, I borrowed the A5 power from the dealer for 2 weeks and must say it is a much better match for the 803s.
I had it connected using my NAD T762 surround receiver as preamp.
The bass is a lot tighter and has more slam, but not boomy.
Actually the overall sound is much better focussed and the high frequencies are clearer also.

The A5 integrated is still a very good amplifier, so it can be, depending on the room acoustics, cabling etc. that the match will be ok.

I can only advise you to try these 803s at your home and judge it yourself.
Can you buy them 2nd hand or are you considering buying them new?

Well, I'm using the MF A5 with my N804s and I'm happy. I compared it with the Krell 400xi and found it to be a bit smoother. The Krell certainly is no slouch, however. I've had the A5 for more than a year and have not had the urge to look for something else, so it must be good.
