Hi, One of the most popular threads in Club Rotel is an area where members can post pictures of their Rotel equipment... I thought - why not  join the party in our own club! So let’s use this thread to post pictures of any aspect of your B&W setups that you've all invested so much energy in! Some examples might

........Another bonus check and now 100K hot in the bank I went back and the XT were right off the boat. They were hooked up with a PV1. We fired them up and it was incredible those beautifull shiny speakers were filling up the place with sound barely distinguishable from the 801's in some ways actualy better!
          WIRotel,
That is one nice room. Earlier this week I went to demo some floorstands. The shop assistant insist I've to listen to the 800 series. Just have time to spend about 30mins on the 804S. It was amazing. Might go back to listen to a few more and maybe even then 802D. Now this comment of yours in the other thread is really interest. Hmm.....

Wolf the XT is not the best speaker in the market, obviously, but when paired with the PV1 it's definitely a big league player. At the price its simply a steal, specifically, if you do both HT and music. Do consider, however, that they need very robust amplification. The 8's are significantly more sensitive 4-6 dB.

              WI,

              Nice Pics :T
What is the Speaker Distance Ratio in you theater. Looks like the Listener distance is double the distance between the front L/R speakers? Have you tried lowering your center channel Speaker?

Managed to track down a dealer that have the XT. Brought my own bookstand monitors in to the shop to have a side by side comparison to the XT4 and 703 as well.

First must say the XT loudspeakers are really beautiful to look at. The engineers appeared to have retained the B&W sound in a wonderful alternative design that might suit some rooms when you can't fit the 700's or 800's series. I could see why you, WI like these speakers so much now.

Unfortunately My distances have been dictated by the room rather than by acoustics. My listening distance is 12 feet. Distance between the mains is 72 in. I used the 1068 distance delay settings and a sound meter to equalize everything. It worked quite splendidly. The XTC is VERY directional but is easy to adjust on its base. I didnt have anywhere to set it but in the position where its at. It works just fine.

Thanks for the informed impression .
Some of the posters around here simply dismiss them because they are "cheap", thus no comparison to the "inherently" superior 8 series. When you try to explain it to them you're simply branded as argumentative and abrassive!

                          XTC for rear?
                          by naive
                          Hi there,

I just curious if it is better to use XTC instead of XT2 for rear channels?
                          Coz:
                          1. It has 2x5" mid/bass instead of 1x5" mid/bass,
                          2. It has lower frequency range (40Hz instead of 46 Hz).

Does it worth to pay extra US$500 for XTC(2x)...

                          by Frankster72
                          Hi,

I have a complete home cinema setup

                          XT4 Fronts
                          XT2 Reads
                          XTC Center
                          PV1 Sub

                          which sounds very descent....
and as far as I know utilizes the XT series the same 25mm tweeter then the 8'er series except the ones with the diamond...
