Welcome to the forum.
I haven't heard anything about a update for the series 3 speakers. No matter, most B&W dealers have trade up policies... so if a new series is announced soon you can always trade them?
Otherwise, maybe you could check out the new CM series (if affordable), brand new and in no danger of being upgraded a month after your purchase.

I've asked this question before and the answer has always been that the Series 4 isn't exactly on the horizon yet. So I bought some new DM602 S3s last week and it was a great decision. I don't see how the Series 4 can be better!Comment

Me niether. Maybe the improvements will be cosmetic at best (like maybe real wood veneer or something), but for my money it will still just be a great quality, but conventional (like no "tweeter on top" 800 series style stuff) loudspeaker that makes good music.Originally posted by P1et

There would likely need to be an update to the 700 series first, and then a year or two later, the 600 would then get an upgrade to basically be close to the former 700... (imo).
So basically, it's several years out at the very least.Comment

I have new 602 s3's and have the option to trade for 603 s2's even. The 603 s2's have been used as rear speakers on a rotel 5.1/b&w system for 3 years. The 603's are my brothers and he feels he doesn't really utilize them because that are surrounds only. He is simply offering as a favor.

I was in the process of acquiring the DM601 surrounds to go with my 603 fronts but now I understand that BnW has new version of the 600 series. Please advice whther I should go with my initial idea or it might be worth to get the new rears. Another idea would be to try to trade-in my 603 for the 684... -
