Center to go with B&W 602s

What do you guys think about using an htm2 with 602s? I used to have a B&W cnt and it sounded great with the 602s. I got rid of it a few years ago and now I want to get another center. Eventually I'll want to upgrade the 602s so it won't be too big of a deal if they don't mesh perfectly. Any thoughts?

    Thanks.

I guess I should add that I can get an htm2 for just a bit more than an cnt so that's why I'm not immediately getting another cnt.

I have not owned the B&W htm2 but I have owned several B&W LCR6 s2 and a B&W CDMC NT. The CDMC NT has a different top end sound. It is much more open and airy. I would assume the htm2 (probably better) would be more along the CDMC NT line than the 602 sound. You can use the combination but I did not like mine. I sold it all. I would stay in the 600 series line unless you are planning an upgrade of your speakers soon.

I used an lcr6 with my 602s3 speakers and it blended and sounded excellent even though it is a series 2 speaker.

I've got the LCR600S3, and it matches perfectly with my 602's.

          Check my sig for details...

            Hi all -
I have only been a B&W owner for one day now. I can only tell you what I hear on my system. I bought the DM602 v3 along with LCR60, I can tell you this center matches extremely well with the 602's. The B&W website recommends this center for the 602's in small to medium sized rooms. I'm sure the LCR600 is a real "kick but" center, but you can't count the LCR60 out.

              Hey Kirium -
How do your 602's sound angled up like that? I currently have my 602's on 17" stands, but am going to buy 20" today.
              Thanks,
              Don

hmm I can comment too since i am 602 s3 user....

LCR60 matches well with mine, the LCR600 may sound better
but physically i doubt it...it is almost as big as your 602s.
                    dont you consider looks too?

i dont find LCR60 inferior with my fronts...they just blended perfectly, its the
upgraditis that makes me feel they dont blend well...if the 800s werent there i would say this is the best in the world.

its just the fronts, and for a smaller amount it will give you a sweet result ..invest your extra budget for a good sub or receiver.
because one day you will dream about the 800s and will find yourself getting rid of LCR600 again.

                      Should I keep 600s/exchange for 602s?
                      by BlazeMaster
Hi, everyone I just got my 600s almost 2 weeks ago, and am thinking about exchanging the 600s for 602s. I can then put the 602s in front to match the LCR600 better and keep my 601s that I have as fronts right now and then use them for surrounds. The price difference would only be about $300. The...

                      Hi guys,
I've had my B&W system for about 4 years now, but I've been home off and on for that long of a time. Now that I will be stationary for a while, I would like to start upgrading my system.

I have a CC6 s2 center, and it just doesn't cut it. I use my system...

                      Hi,

Silly question but I have owned a pair of DM 602 speakers for about 15 years and thought I would replace the speaker wire and got some wire made today with banana plugs but noticed today that the connectors in the back don't seem to allow banana plugs? I read about the red and black...
