    difference between series

can you guys tell me the "difference" in sound between say a 6, 7 and 8 series bookshelf? please give me your subjective opinions.

also, if I also like pop and r&b type of music, are b&w's still advisable? (i have this pre-conceived notion that b&w's are great with jazz and classical)

oh and btw, since these bookshelves have about a max rating of 120w,
what difference in sound will I hear if I use a
    a) a rotel integrated amp
    b) a rotel pro + rb1070 (120w x 2)
    c) a rotel pro + rb1080 (200w x 2)

Please use the search option. The question has been asked many times. As far as sound. 600 is a good start. The difference between the 600 and up is that the soundstage of the 700 and 800 is more 3 dimensional versus the 600's 2 dimensional soundstage. 700 vs 800, 800 is very pure to the music. The 700 is a bit forward and seems to do better with movies because of this. That's my feel.
