Upgrade from CDM9nt to 805S as rear surround speakers?

    Hey all

OK, here is one i keep getting mixed opinions on,

i am using my old CDM9nt's as rear surrounds, 803N for fronts,

would changing to 805s as rear be an upgrade ?

now, you think upgraditis is cured, but there is always something else.

    thanks in advance

    Kurtholz,

I have moved your thread from Club Rotel to here as this is where the B&W expertise is you need.

Re your question - IMO - Absolutely... I'd also seriously consider the SCMS speakers - same sound as the 805S but designed for easy surround placement...

I recently built some Swope MTM's (which I love) as main LR's for my home theater and I was originally planning on building the center and rear surrounds to round out the set. I have been thinking about a way to make some cheap rear surround speakers for my setup and was thinking this. Taking the Tang Band W4-1337SD and Dayton ND20FB-4 and crossing high. Zaph says the tweeter has good distortion performance above 3.5kHz You guys think with the right enclosure these would...

      Hello Everyone,

I'm moving (again) in two weeks into a new house, and the house is surround sound friendly, so I'm looking into getting my 5.1 setup back again. Let me rephrase, it's surround-sound friendliER than the last two places I lived in. First let's start off with the size....
