    Pictures of B&W 703?

I am trying to determine the color of the 703 series I want to get? I really like the maple or cherry color. I cannot seem to find any pictures of the maple color anywhere? It seems that the only maple picture I can find is one of the 705 floorstander.

    Thanks
    Trevor

The B&W site has a picture of every speaker in the 700 series in every color, including maple.
Just go the the site, select the speaker you want to view, then click on "[+]zoom" next to "{360} rotate" (below the main picture of the speaker), and you can see all colors of that speaker.

Hey Claude very nice, but I thought you have a different system? Is this a dealer's show room?

Trevor, if you're still interested, I got a pair of 704s in black on order and they should be here in about a week. I can take pics of them for you when they arrive?

Had I gone for the 700 series (and I almost did), this setup would have done it for me. Although the Maple color is sweet, I would have chosen Cherry only because it matches better with our home decor. Nice pics Claude!

                    Gosh!

That's a fine looking show room (it makes me proud)

BTW: You gotta admit for the money, the 700 series just looks the balls, the fit and finish is so nice, the product must be seen to be believed...

                    Good work
                    just my 2 cents

just out of curiosity, do you guys actually take off the tweeter cover when you use them? I find the high range does sound a little bit cleaner without the grille cover.

Does it just come off by pulling on it? I didn't know that I could take it off so easy, I thought it was there because the tweeter is super-fragile or something.

                              BEWARE!!!
I would not recommend taking the tweeter covers off any of the speakers as the dome is just too delicate to risk some stray finger damaging it.

The mid and bass covers however are a different story - may people claim a sound improvement without the covers - I personally just think they look better!

well....the tweeter cover seems like it's made for easy removal. I think there's some kind of magnet involved in the cover and cabinet, where the cover will just stick on. Believe me, I know the cost of having the tweeters pushed in, it cost about
$100 to get a tweeter replaced.

I second this. And the tweeter covers are not magnetic like JM Lab speakers. I actually taped mine down (as cheesy as this sounds) too keep little fingers out.

are you guys sure there's no magnet? I know you can't see the magnet, but it does feel like there's some kind of magnet when you bring the cover close to the tweeter, it just snaps in place by itself.

I don't know about the 700 series, but the 800 series has a magnetic attration on the tweeter cover.

my 703 does have the magnetic attraction between the tweeter and the cover
                                        it sure does exist

following is the link to"my system" pic at the audiogon, I can never figure out how to upload to this site (with the powerbook)...

The tweeter cover is not magnetic, it's just made of metal (the grille), and since tweeters do have magnets behind them like every other speaker, the metal grille is attracted by the magnet.

Just to finish the magnet story, I checked. My 703 tweeter covers are not held back by a magnet; but the magnet of the tweeter seams to pull a bit on the cover. My cover is held by a kind of rubber that goes all the way around the cover.
