Hi All,
Soooo, the good "old" Natalie P. I built a set of these back in 2010 - and where really happy with them for several years. But you all know, fingers start tikling and you have to do a new build, which was the Khanspires in 2013. These speakers shares the tweeter, and was...

What if the Wavecor Ardent and Natalie P had a "love child"?
This is a new "Evil Design Study" in the old tradition, which will soon be converted to an active project as components ordered begin to arrive...
The premise is quite simple, based on a few objectives which have been prioritized:- Extended LF performance with low distortio

Curved Nat P Build
Hi all, I'm probably jumping the gun sharing this project now, as it's a long-term work-in-progress, but I anticipate finishing this summer and couldn't wait to post.
BLUF: I'm building a pair of curved Nat P's. Actually, more like complex-curved, as the top/back is curved and intersects...👍 2- Bottom

NatalieP DA- revisiting a popular design with a new tweeter
This started off more as a "What if?", and then progressed to a "Why not?" sort of deal... it's too bad the original RS28a tweeter went away, but we do have some alternatives these days that are interesting...
So why not combine most elements of the classic design from...Last edited by theSven; 21 February 2023, 20:35 Tuesday. Reason: Remove translation links that are broken- Bottom

Suggestions for front LCR's
Hi all
Looking for some suggestions for options for some hopefully tried and tested designs that might work as LCR's for our lounge area. Like most everyday lounge/family areas there are constraints and compromises everywhere, so Im just looking to try and make the best with what Ive...- Bottom

Natalie P First Build - A more conventional approach
Thanks to everyone who gave input into my curved Natalie P design. Alas, priorities have shifted (as they are wont to do) and now time has become the main driver. I'm not going to have the time available to put into these that it was going to take to make the translam design. I've also decided to drop...

Curved Natalie P design thread (my first build)
Hi all,
I've been lurking for awhile and am finally getting close to starting my first build. I've decided to attempt the Natalie Ps (link here), but plan to make a curved cabinet for aesthetics. I'm quite confident in the woodworking aspect, but since this will be my first build, I want...- Bottom

NatP Journey Begins
Ply is in and it starts. Quick question on port. I'm going to do slot but need to double check if I have to add volume to the cab to compensate for the slot port or if I can stick with the original 1cu/ft design.
Calculated port to equal out the 2" x 9" round port suggested...- Bottom

Update to NatalieP?
Surprisingly, several people have contacted me about the possibility of an update to the NatalieP, more than just a tweeter tweak- and the possibility of a more compact shelf friendly version.
Recent driver evaluations have opened the feasibility of discussion and development on this topic,...- Bottom

Tuning the Natalie P's (RS180-RS28) after building them
This is a re-post from a PE TechTalk forum post. The guys there suggested I post here (duh!)
"I built Jon Marsh's Natalie P's (RS180-RS28 MTMs in a 9x22" baffle sealed cab) a few years ago after looking for a good mid-price project. I've been really pleased with them. I like...- Bottom

My Natalie P Journey Continues
With my most sincere thanks to The Maestro (Jon Marsh) I now have the blueprint to, as The Maestro so eloquently put it, 'Dude UP' my Natalie Portmans.
Why this man, with so, so much on his plate would give up the time, effort & genius to help us out is simply beyond my comprehension....- Bottom

Natalie P Speaker Build
I've finally convinced the wifey that we need new speakers up front. I currently am using an Onkyo HTIB. Two years ago I replaced the subwoofer with a DIY subwoofer (12" TC Sounds that I'm pretty proud of). Now it is time to replace the left right and center channel.
I think I'm...- Bottom

NatP inroom measured
Ok, so I finally got my measurement up and here's my inroom FR for the NatP w/ 1/6smoothing.
I forgot to mentioned that this is measured with the rs28f vs the original design which called for a rs28a. The rs28f does have a rising response on the top end.
I turned it...- Bottom

Indeed, the force is strong with Nat P's
An observation from a lurker...
I have a $500 budget for a speaker project (L/R speakers) and have spent way too much time researching DIY speakers but in the end, the Nat P's seem to dominate the DIY world for this budget.
Now of course, a good design does not go bad....- Bottom

Ambitious cabinet design for Nat P!
Hi all,
I have finally ordered parts to make the Nat P's (floor standing versions ala "Yet another Nat P thread"). This coincides with setting up my own workshop so it will be one of my first projects that will include veneering as part of the finishing.
So, below is my planned...- Bottom
