Nice new setup & TT Nolan!

Great looking room...Roche makes beautiful stuff...almost bought some a few years ago.

There are lots of great record shops here...you may want to pick up a record cleaning machine if you buy a lot used...makes it a fun job to do a bunch of cleaning...then sitting down and listening.

    Cheers!

      Thanks!

I have thought about a record cleaning machine. I have a cleaning kit, but have been really lucky with records I have already bought. Normally they are mint, and just need a quick brushing with the static brush. I have pretty much told myself to only buy mint or near mint records. Makes the hunt a little more fun, and since original B&O cartridges arent made and hard to come buy I want to take good care of the two i have.

Last night the plan was to watch movies...but we ended up going through 3 bottles of wine and playing records until 2 am!

Check this picture out... I have a high rez version im going to get professionally printed to hang above the TT.

It has a S&M type of look and feel to it. A mid evil torture device for a record. It would be interesting to give something like that a try to hear it, and see the immediate effect it had on a record. One ting is for sure there is no way you would ever have to replace the cartridge because of using an imperfect LP.

I would still move them. Records should be stored in a sturdy rack regardless. Plus that little nook will fill up quicker than you know it. 8)

Just wondering if anyone out there has hooked up a turntable to their Rotel preamp or receiver. What are you using for a phono stage? What is your opinion of your vinyl sound.

Any recommendations on turntables. Hoping to stay under $1k for the turntable (cartridge & tonearm), phono...

              Phono ground work around??
              by InTheRed
I'm looking hard at getting a 1068/1075 combo and had a few questions before I take the plunge.

It seems the 1068 (and most of Rotel's centerpieces) does not have a phono input and, more specifically, a phono ground. Unfortunately, the cables from my turntable are hardwired and have a...

Vintage Bang and Olufsen Recycle build

              Objective:
Well I am itching for a build and have these lying around and want to do something with them. The surrounds on the drivers are shot, and the crossover parts are 40 years old. I am thinking of reusing the cabinets and building a 3-way or something that will go down fairly low. I will...

Does anyone know the average life of the needle on turntables? And when you can tell that you need one? I could use some help.

              Greetings!

Has anyone had any success, or tried to use a turntable with the 1065? The unit does not have any Phono connections, so I tried hooking into the Tape inputs(as they are analog), but barely get any sound coming out of the speakers with vol turned way up. Using a Gemini XL-500...
