I'd have to say my main speakers, they're 12+ years old, and next on my upgrade list...
Either that or the processor.... Ah decisions, decisions.
Maybe I should get a better amp....
Dang, why does it have to be just one item?

First thing that came to mind was my TV. 27" just does not cut it anymore. A nice 50" set that can do the squeeze trick would be nice. That's within reason. Hmm, how much reason are we talking about? Might go for one of them 65" 16:9 sets. Oh wait, how about one of those Runco DLP projector thingies.

Just one item?
At this time I would have to say my power amp.
I'm using a HK PA5800 now.
After the new pre/pro gets into my rack and I get used to it I will begin to demo amps.
If I was allowed two items
I would replace my 60" 4:3 RPTV with a 65" 16:9
HD rptv.
After that there are only 9 more items I would replace

You know after further thought, I would do my TV instead of the speakers. Now that I have a new sub, the mains sound alot better to me. So a new TV please!

Hmmm.. hard to say what I'd upgrade, maybe adding an outboard amp. Or an IScan Pro.
As for what I *hope* to be upgrading next, I think I'll be putting some SilverCat interconnects in between my Sony 9000ES and my receiver for SACD bliss. After I get a paycheck of course.

I would have to say, I like Kevin's upgrade plans best so far. :W hehe. Way to go Kev!
Me? Upgrade? Will I ever recover from past upgrades? Hmmm, I dunno, doesn't look to good right now, lol. Alas, my business ventures last year soaked me very much so, lol.
But, if I could pick, I will take an Elite HDTV, and progressive scan DVD player. Hey, that's not that bad, especially if the members established an upgrade fund for me, haha.

Front projection for me! Maybe a Sony G90 CRT or a calibrated JVC G15 with a ISCO II anamorphic lense! We are talking free aren't we?

No holds barred? The Sony 3 chip 1280X720 DLP projector, it's about $100K.
Within reason? A Sony G90 CRT projector- uncalibrated is fine, I'll take care of that! Just have to get a proper home for it....

I'm all about the video upgrade. A switch from the 32" Pro Scan to a nice HD capable DLP would do me just fine.

I'd upgrade the house I store my HT in
An indoor pool and a few more rooms are always nice.

All 10 of my spks are piano blk. The Pioneer Elite 610 would complete the hat trick.

Sad to say, there was no decision making required in my case. I have the rest of the HT stuff, but am still watching on a (I'm embarassed to say it) 20" TV!!!
Alright! Alright! You can stop the laughing now.
Change it to a HDTV ready RPTV!!!! Around the 60 to 70" size. MMMMM MMMMMM GOOD!!!.

I'd probably replace my Sony VPL400 with the 10HT lcd projector, then I can enjoy progressive scan.

I would have to upgrade my 61" 4:3 RPTV to a 16:9 RPTV or FPTV.

I would add new mains right now.
Once we get a bigger house, or I build a HT dedicated room, then it would be a 16X9 HDTV, but no room for it with my big entertainment center now.- Bottom

My first hunch was a new processor (Ref30 or TAG) or maybe a new amp for the front mains (Bryston 4B-ST) or maybe some new speakers (?) but the weakest link in my HT is, IMO, the TV. I think an Elite 710 would improve movie enjoyment more than the audio upgrades.

by Spanky HamI won't recant my rant about trying to find the demo at Cedia this past week, but I did hear the Audyssey/Integra demo. Apparently the real demo was offsite and you had to find some girls who were the gatekeepers. Anyway, the demo I heard was pretty good. Unfortunately, they only played the Dolby bluray...-

by PieterI’d like to know if any of you, specifically Nautilus 805 or 805S owners, could try the following: Play the start of track 6, Just Another Movie, on Pink Floyd’s “A Momentary Lapse of Reason”. There’s some sort of drum effect, a pause, then the same effect is repeated.
What...-
