After upgrading the projector to 4k, I needed to get a 4k Blu ray player and this new player did not have a blue tooth remote like the PS4 had. My AV equipment is about 20 feet or so behind the theater room which mean standing down the hall trying to get things setup and then walking down to the theater to sit and listen or watch. That was great until I needed to pause or wanted to switch to something else. Enough with that it was time to install an ENSIGEAR IR Repeater Kit.
Running a cat 6 from by the screen back to the AV cabinet.
Attached the IR extender with 2 sided tape to the back of the cabinet for now to see if it works out and can be easily removed.
A cable is taped to the front of the Emotiva and Blu ray to use the remotes in the theater
No splicing required! There is a RJ45 to bantam jack converter which made this really easy to use
For now the IR receiver is sitting on the current center channel. Once the new center channel is in place this will be relocated to somewhere around the area.
