When I went to CES 2004 and saw some prototype Blu-Ray players, I never thought I would say this: I just don't care about HD-DVD and Blu-Ray anymore. Unless they merge and create one disc, I am not buying either of them until prices drop to half of their release date SRP.

Not to mention, HVD (Holographic Versatile Disc) is already on the horizon with storage potential of 1TB. The new wave of disc is already in motion and HD-DVD and Blu-Ray haven't even hit the market yet.

      Well, you're not alone...
What this does is give standard DVD some legs for a while. With companies like Classe' shipping a 1080P DVD player with built in scaler, this month HD-DVD and Blu-Ray seem fairly unimportant and not so terribly necessary.

      Just my 2 cents
