I've thought about getting Bass shakers in the past, but now I think I really want to try them out, so I need some guidance on how to go about it.

I see they're spec'd at 4 ohm 35W max, I'll be powering them with extra channels of my HK Sig 2.1 which is rated at 150W @ 4ohms or 100W @ 8ohms. Will that be too much?

I thought about serial wiring two pairs to get 8 ohms would that be better?

In what way would I connect them? I'm guessing I would use a y splitter on the LFE channel to drive the extra channel that the bass shakers are connected to? I already have the LFE split as it is now driving two subs, will splitting it again have any negative affects?

Finally how many are needed to get the full effects on a full size sofa?
