    Subwoofer Timing

Can someone explain to me the proper procedure for timing subwoofers. I have a IB in the center front (horizontal array) with FBQ and 2 subs one in each rear corner, they are running through the other channel on the FBQ. I can actually hear the delay.

    Thanks

Depends on your setup. Do you have the ability to set individual distances/delays for different subs? Would depend on your receiver/processor, as well as whatever else you have in the subwoofer path along the way.

We discussed this issue this past week in another thread here about 7.2/9.2 receivers.

Problem solved, I ran the rear sub line through a DCX channel I wasn't using then on to the FBQ, cranked in about 7.?ms of delay and whala tight bass, NICE!

Using TrueRta to adjust subwoofer delay
        by kgveteran
How would I adjust the delay for my subs on my processor to match the mains of my HT ? There has been talk of this on other forums.

Most of the talk is that there is a problem with the subwoofer delay and that the numbers don't coinside.Your thoughts.

        Sub: sonotube, siting, EQ, delay?
        by ro9397
Questions concern siting & enclosure material for a custom sub for a very high-end music reproduction system. Sub source is a mono signal from a proprietary pure-analog processor. Will start w/ one sub; depending on results may add a second sub.

        How Many Subwoofers Is Enough?

Floyd Toole and Todd Welti may surprise you with their answer.

In previous columns on subwoofer placement, we’ve discussed the conventional wisdom of adding the ".1" to 5.1-, 6.1-, and 7.1-channel surround sound. That wisdom pretty...

As far as build stories go, this one will probably not yield much fruit for a little bit. That said, I have some questions for the community regarding subwoofer design before making any further purchases. I already have 4x Dayton UM15-22 subwoofers expected this Saturday for another application...I'm...

        What's up everyone?
I recently aquired a used M&K sub woofer. It had a bad Phase switch which was causing it to pop. The person I got it from didn't want to get it fixed and decided to get a new woofer.
I took this subwoofer home, fixed the Switch and decided to add it into my system...
