Rotel Rmb 1075 Standby Mode

hi all, this is my first post

I have recently purchased the RMB 1075 power amp.. finally I know.

Can you please advise if the blue power light is supposed to stay on even when in standby. I do hear a click when I turn on my Pre/receiver and then another click when I turn the pre/receiver off again. but blue light stays on.

The only way the blue power light goes off is if I turn off the power amp from the front, but if I do this then the 12volt trigger will not work.

I just want to make sure that the blue power light is supposed to stay on even when in standby.

Follow up question on the RMB 1075:

When in stand-by mode, my 1075 stays a little warm on its right side. Is this normal?

Does this consume much power and wear down the components?
