    Safe Distance?

Please excuse the numpty question from a newbie but I would be grateful for some advice.
Will my 140w JVC subwoofer ( part of JVC TH-S55 home cinema ) cause any proximity issues if positioned directly behind my LCD TV? I have tried it and didn't notice any picture quality loss but will avoid it if there will be any longer term issues.
I don't know if the sub is shielded or not, how can I tell?
    thanks in anticipation, Mike

LCD TV's aren't effected by magnets.

Most HTIB subs are shielded. The way to check is put it beside an old fashion CRT TV or computer monitor and see if it screws up the picture, or remove the driver and see if the back has a shield over the magnet.
