External MONITOR menu instead of LCD on C1

I was wondering if anyone uses an external monitor instead of relying on the LCD on the C1. Even though I'm no spring chicken, I can read pretty good at distance. The distance between the couch and the LCD is about 5 meters (16 feet) and I just can't read a thing and its bothersome. I have confidence everything is set up right and the defaults are in place, but I like the little flashes of re assurance what's going on.

So....... I was thinking about an addition of a small LCD to hook up to read the menu with. Of course I wouldn't want to see anything other than the menu. Any ideas anyone. ?? Anyone know a LCD to recommend. Could I set it up to just see menu options ??
