    High Definition Cable Boxes and RS 232

    Does anyone know if you can control a Comcast high definition cable box via a remote control through walls. Is there any device that you can get to do this? Thanks.

      You can get an IR remote extender or an RF remote and RF-IR converter at the cable box. I don't know of anything that can control the box via the RS232, other than Tivo or a PC.
