Oppo speaker / surround settings

I have an Oppo OPDV971H hooked up to a Rotel RSX-1057 using only an optical cable. I want to have the Rotel handle all audio processing. I set the appropriate crossover settings, surround sound settings, & etc. using the Rotel OSD.

The SPDIF output on the Oppo is set to RAW.

Under these circumstances, the values on the Oppo "speaker setup page" (i.e. the downmix mode and speaker size values) are not applicable, right??

I just want to make certain I'm seeting this up correctly.

Those only applicable to the analog 5.1 signal for DVDA or DVD if you want that output
otherwise it'll just go into the receiver without altering it
