For best video from DVD player..HDMI or Firewire connection?

My television has ilink inputs and my Denon dvd has IEEE outputs (both firewire)
Is a firewire connection better than hdmi?

If so, follow up question to come

They're both digital so it "shouldn't" really matter between the two. The only way to know for sure is connect both and see which, if either, is better

If I remember right, HDMI has a higher audio bandwith capability than firewire. Whether any audio would really go over HDMI but be constrained by firewire would be questionable, though.

Given that HDMI can carry video as well, though, and that HDMI is progressing into the future, wheras firewire is rather stagnant and "niche" right now, if you have the choice between the two, I would connect HDMI.

Well, we're safe for now. Thank goodness we're in a bowling alley.
