Between those two brands , the Denon 3910 seems to generally have the best reviews...
When you say "high end" - what is you budget - there are other more expensive models that would be even better but...

I picked up the 3910 about a month ago. I absolutley love it. It is a fantastic machine. I don't think you can do better than this unit ( unless your wanting to pay at least double what it's selling for ).

I have some problems playing dvd-r discs on my 3910. Some times the picture pixelates, laggs and the movie freezes. But the next day, when i put in the same disc, it works perfectly. Anyone had similar problems, and know about a possible solution?

I am seriously considering buying an RDV-1050 DVD today - $999 Aus.
I will be using this player in a dual role - as a CD, as well as a DVD player.
DVD-a and SACD do not interest me, so i dont mind SACD not being an option on this player.... -

I just made a mistake, I think. I sold my RDV 1060 and was thinking of getting a better DVD player. The timing may not be the best with the new formats not yet on the market.
I read a review on Hometheaterhifi.com and it lists about every player but the Rotel. The Denon 3910 was scored...
