I have a Rotel RSP-1068 wich has only 1 component output. I would like to use my Phillips RDV-985 to record from my Denon DVD and my Samsung STB. The problem is my 1068 will not output component sources to an s-video output. Do I change everything over to an s-video input into the 1068 so it will accomplish what I am after, or try and find a component video splitter to send the switched output from the 1068 to both my HD monitor and Phillips recorder? I want the best possible signal obviously, would the s-video route really be a step down from component, would 1 component output be able to drive to inputs via splitter w/o signal loss? Thanks in advance, Bob

by hired goonG'day,
I'm having problems with the component input/output of my RSP-1068.
I finally bought a TV that has component input. I connected my set-top box to the TV via component, and got a great image without any problems after one hour of use. Next I connected the DVD player...-

the TV. Also can anyone comment on how easy...-

by jprafterI'm very happy with my Parasound setup though it looks like my C2 will never support HDMI fully. I use a combination of my C2 and TV for video switching along with the MX-700 macros. So I really have no need for a Parasound HDMI switch only device, since it will do nothing to help with OSD.
