Don't take five, "Take 6": join the band

This is a fantastic group. What they can do acapella, is nothing short of flooring! Though with this cd (join the band) the instruments help show, just how versital this group really are.

Known more as a gospel group, Take 6 has shown that lables are not for them. This release has the likes of, Ray Charles, Kirk Whalum,Gerald Albright, Herbie Hancock, Paul Jackson Jr, Stevie Wonder, Brian McKnight and Queen Latifah assisting on various cuts. The result is a cd that will leave you begging for more.

A mix of jazz, easy listening, rb, pop, vocals and big band, riddles the cd. This along with great mastering, makes this a wonderful cd to pop in almost anytime.

Breaking with modern conventions - a highly musical 2-way system using an 8" woofer
    by theSven
    By Jon Hancock

This article will describe the fruits of my efforts to build a moderate sized speaker which might be moderately above average in performance for a basic two-way system. I desired a speaker like this both for my own use in secondary systems, and to fill a need for some friends, who desired fairly full range response (i.e., “it’s gotta have good bass”). Also, though I have access to a good wood shop, many potential DIY enthusiasts may not, so I hoped to use a modified...

Is U2 the best band ever?
    by Chris D
With the latest release of U2 in the past several days/weeks, I've come across quite a few reviews and discussions about U2 and their music. More than once, I've seen some sort of reference to U2 being "The greatest band of all time". I've gotten to wondering whether this is true or not,...

Progressive Guitar-centered Rock Band "Fourth Estate"
    by Chris D
Another post here in the Guide reminded me of a CD I have that I've enjoyed for years, but most people would never have heard of. I went to a big concert at the famous Red Rocks ampitheater in Denver, Colorado the summer of 1992 (right before my senior year of high school) that had about 6 excellent...

Which artist and or group dominates your music collection?

Fourplay is easily my favorite music group, period. Then I realized, I'm still short atleast two or three of their releases.

Then it came to me, thru my late teens and early twenties, I was a serious Prince fan. OMG! I own every U.S. released album! That means I own more vinyl from...
