    Athena Speakers

Ok,, These may not be high end equipment.
I was hoping for some input on their new line.
I know Klipsch bought them out and that is about it.

    I am interested in the ls-500s, lsc-100, ls-300 for a 5.1 system.
I would like to know, what comparible sound quality range you feel these speakers are in. Compare to more popular brands, Paradigm, Axiom, Polk ls, Onix Rocket,,,,.
These will be mainly for HT so, center channel, voice clearity is important.
Music will not be important, I have a seperate system for that.

    Thanks for your input.

Never heard those, they weren't in stores long I think. I did have a bunch of models from the original Audition series and if they're like those, they're certainly worth what AudioAdvisor is selling them (clearing them out?) for.

My brother has some, they're good, affordable speakers in line with most of the comparably priced gear you mentioned. If you've had a listen, like them and can get them for a good price...by all means

Thank you for the reply, it will help me make a decision.
The LS-500 are selling for $149 each
        LS-300 LSC-100 for $99each.
Its difficult to choose, I had my mind set on the Swan Diva 6.1 system or Rocket system, but at one third the cost and if these anthena are comparible, not sure if I can let it pass.

They sure don't look as nice as the Rockets or Divas, but it the sound that counts.

        I'll keep thinking about it,,,

        Thanks again

Just make sure you listen first to make sure the sound is equal to the other products you're considering

I bought the athena ws100 and while they do sound nice and clean each of the mini subs has developed a buzz noise... I guess it popped or something? And this occurred just 20 minutes of owning them.. =(
