I'm in Raleigh (about 2 hours away) - I'm sure there are some audiophiles in Wilmington.

Yes. Probably the most challenging thing I have worked on since Heaven's Gate. Can't talk about it on the internet, signed the typical confidentiality papers.

The director is interesting though. Has a 15 Billion dollar trust fund, has been working as a musician since he was a teenager, and told me over lunch "I don't care if anybody besides my mother and myself see the film". It is a personal project for him.

The fun part is that he has a 20.000 vinyl record collection. Has bought, and is reviving the Vee-Jay catalog (first label for the Beatles).

Heaven's Gate? That's cool Bob. FWIW, I'm one of the small group that publicly admits to liking that film.

Best of luck on the project.

Uh, that is 15 Billion?????? Woof. 8O

            I'm another. Hey, it's a Western.

Bob, the project sounds great. And the 20,000 vinyl records will no doubt keep you busy in your spare time...if you have any. :T

His collection is back in California but, we have hit it off and I am hoping to puruse his collection when we get back in the fall. And yes, that was 15 with a B, not a M.

Back to asking about Wilmington members, surely there must be a couple. During my evenings I have been bringing home Acadamy DVDs from Frank Capra's office and was wondering if anybody would want to share their home theater to look at movies not yet out on DVD.

Gee , Bob , my house is a disaster and my HTIB is pathetic. My 2 ch. is pretty mid-fi and parking is at a premium in my neighborhood. However , you are most welcome in my home anytime you are in the Columbus , Ohio area. I can grill a fantastic steak and my kabobs are legendary!(in my family , anyway). Beer isn't a requirement , but it makes my presence more tolerable!

Thank you for all your kind offers. I was working in Tennesse a few years ago and had the pleasure of meeting up with Lex.
I finally moved out of the hotel and found a nice house on the water and it has a decent HT with a large plasma screen. Boy, rents are high in Wilmington.

                            12db/oct line level filter
                            by kgveteran
What are your thoughts on this.My subs are xover at 80hz.The processor does this electronically @ 24db/oct.

My mains are also xover via the processor at 80hz , but at 12db/oct. Is it possible to get a line level 80hz 12db/oct filter to add to the one that is already in the processor ?...

                            12db/oct alignments
                            by servicetech
I've seen people using 3 different types of alignments for 12db/oct crossovers:
                            1: Linkwitz/Riley
                            2: Butterworth
                            3: Bessel
I've noticed all set up resonance at the crossover frequency, so what it the difference among the 3? Is one any better than the other?

Petition for Disney to release 3D Blu-Rays in North America
                            by Chris D
For those who may not have noticed, Disney has for whatever reason decided to stop releasing most new Blu-Rays with 3D in North America. It would be one thing if the movie wasn't 3D capable. Or another thing if Disney just decided to abandon 3D altogether. But Disney is now releasing Blu-Rays around...

                            by Chris D
I just went to the Evanescence homepage tonight for the heck of it, and they're saying that they're going to release a new album Oct 3rd! YAY!

I LOVE Amy Lee's voice, and I was worried that this group had fallen apart. I'm going into this album with very high expectations,...
