Properties that make speaker cables good?

What properties do you look for when you purchase speaker cables? Are these certain things that you can look for or is it pretty much you just hook them up and listen. I'd like to purchased from new speaker cables to go with a krell amp i just bought, but I don't even know where to start.

Long cables - line level vs. speaker???
        by whoaru99
I see that many high-end companies recommend putting the amps close to the speakers and having longer line level cables versus longer speaker cables.

To me, this seems just backwards. Isn't it more likely that a long line level run has the possibility to degrade the signal more than a...

        by Horacio
I'm contemplating upgrading my system with new power cables and would like to know if you think/know if this would improve sound quality.

Here's the deal, after years of ok audio equipment, (Sony Reciver, Sony DVD player, Sony CD player, Sony Tape Deck, Sony TV, Sony Front Channel and Subwoofer (anyone...

I Was Wrong – Some Cables Are Special

Two weeks ago I was surfing the Internet and ended up on a forum about UFO’s, which I should make clear is a subject about which I am very sceptical. I followed a discussion on whether the US military had conducted analyses of the materials used in the UFO’s that have supposedly crashed on Earth,...
