There's a place under user profile to list one's equipment. You can retrieve that info by clicking on the user name and public profile.

        Blake,

Why does your 2ch setup have 4 speakers?

How do your XQ5's sound in 2ch compared to the reference Kefs?

I have RCD971 + RC/RB1070 combo into my Q3 and am looking for feedback on upgrading the Kef's.

In my two channel setup I use the speakers I feel like using that day I just couldn't give up my 602 S3 they were such a deal for the money and sound so much more expensive than what they cost.
The Ref 201 are sweeter than the XQ5 the sound is much warmer and the highs are more detailed and the mids are similar to the XQ5 , I love them the upgrade is worth every penny, also the built quality is among the best i've seen. The XQ5 are great sounding though especially at the price they are selling for right now, but at the retail price its too much competion for them. If you look around you can get a decent discount on the ref series. My XQ5 are only a couple of weeks old and have not been fully broken in yet.

Nice systems so far have a feeling (B&W & Rotel) are going to dominate. I understand, they do sound great together one of the best combos out there.

                Keep it coming

My HT system doubles as the living room, so getting any type of decent setup there makes for an ordeal. I do, however, have a decent little setup that serves the family well:
Pre: Krell Showcase, McIntosh MC7200 stereo amp for Carver AL-III ribbon speakers with modded X-overs, Denon DVD2900, Denon POA-8300 3 channel amp for center Boston Acoustics VR12 and Infinity Modulas ribbon surrounds, Samsung SIR-T451 HD tuner, Monster HTS-5100 conditioner, M&K MX150 sub, and Mitsubishi HD 65" RPTV.

My bedroom system is a 2 channel system consisting of a McIntosh C-39 pre, McIntosh MC7270 amp, Denon DP-62L turntable mated to a Denon D-160 MC cart, Denon DVD-2800 CD player, Denon POA-800 mono for sub, M&K 12" passive sub, B&W Nautilas NT's, Yamaha KX-R700U cassette deck, SONY minidisc player, my DIY MS1-P media server, and a Monster HTS3500 line conditioner.

Well, I'll stick to my living room two channel music setup for now, though it won't make much sense to most of you, seeing as how I'm a DIY kind of guy.

                              Sources:
G5 iMac feeding Benchmark DAC1 via Toslink (music sever using Apple Lossless)
Modified Philips CD player as CD Transport feeding Benchmark DAC1 via coaxial.
Benchmark DAC1 to Ayre K5x preamp using AudioQuest Silver balanced interconnects

Marantz SA-11S1 feeding Ayre K5x preamp via AudioQuest silver balanced interconnects

Ayre K5x preamp feeding Aragon Palladium via Ayre Signature interconnects to AudioWorx M8ta DIY speakers via Cardas Golden Reference speaker cables.

Bedroom system uses iPod, Marantz CD player, Marchand passive preamp, and Ayre V5 or Aragon 8008 X3 (depending on the mood I'm in), and AudioWorx Modula MT DIY speakers. Sony SCD-777ES CD/SACD player feeding Marchand preamp using single ended Cardas Neutral Reference
May get a Mac mini for it soon for music server.

New set of dipole speaker design in the works (construction phase) for living room.

I'm quite happy with this set-up. :B The third picture is the set-up before the recent upgrades. We also move the system to the other side of the room. This helped with room acoustics and better lighting for video.

Marantz PM7200 integrated amp , Marantz SA8260 SACD/CD player , Silvercat interconnects , WireWorld speaker cables (bi-wired) , Paradigm Studio 60v.3 speakers. Very modest system , but I envy Jon's SA11S1! Speaking of which , Hey Jon! Do you use the DAC in the SA11 or the Benchmark for SACD/CD playback?

                                          Hello all (new here)

Some advice on connecting my Rotel stuff as I have got confused.

                                          I have a Rotel 1098

                                          Rotel RB 1070

For now I only wish to run a 5.1 set up (later 7.1, but that does not confuse me)

Well, I was about to pull the trigger on a new system consisting of a Rotel 1080/1070 plus RCD1072 with the B&W 703 and then I heard the new KEF iQ9. Very smooth, soft, very impressive. Plus, here in Japan they happen to sell for around $1800 a pair, compared to the B&W at $2600. I can afford...

Hi everyone. I found a used RB1070 for about $550, should I take it? The guy said he had it only for about 3-4 weeks and including shipping would be about $600 vs. a brand new one $700 plus tax would be about $760. My dilema is that I just bought a SVS PCi20-39 and are thinking about exchanging it...
