I just bought 4 pairs of CCm80 for whole house music distribution Probably another 4 to come. I want it to seriously rock. I was looking at Russound distribution systems. I like the control they offer. But, do they rock? They seem to have only 40w/ch. If I have a party, will this system jam? How about a Rotel 1077 7x100 digital amp ? If I went this route I would have to find a control system with no amplification. Any thoughts???
Whole house audio that Rocks!!!! Is Russound enough/Rotel 1077 too much ??

Most of the Russound/niles/etc systems really don't have enough power to jam. The Rotel 1048 or 1066 amps are always a nice choice for multi-room. All of the multi-room control systems I've put in have had RCA outputs to run different amps. It's worth it to get the nice control/switching and better power.
For what it's worth, I've found that bass/treble controls do more for multi-room then big watts. The multichannel amps from AudioControl looked real nice at CES. 12-16 channels of power, all with separate 6 band EQ's.

by Shane MartinI'm going to be purchasing a new 7.1 system soon(Phase Tech speakers with an SVS sub) and thinking about the Rotel 1056 + amp(something cheap) or the Denon 3805. Given that I might not even be able to go the Rotel route(because of cost as I am unable to go that route unless I get a deal from a dealer),...-

by IvanI’m thinking about setting up a multiroom system using Rotel gear.
What I need is:
1. Main zone (5.1 with video);
2. Two more A/V zones (stereo sound with video);
3. One more audio zone (stereo).
What I have in mind is RSX-1058 + RMB-1066.

by CleptoSo, from the 1077 manual:
"The jack labeled IN is for connecting the 3.5mm Plug/Cable carrying a +12 volt trigger signal to turn the amplifier on and off...
This input accepts any control signal (AC or DC) ranging from 3 volts to 30 volts.
So does this mean...-

by htsteveThis post is a bit lengthy, but I wanted to get all of my thoughts in. I recently purchased a Rotel 1077 amp. Below are my impressions after about 3 weeks. First, to give context to the 1077’s performance, I want to quickly review were I was and how I got to where I am now. I have B&W N804’s...-
