FWIW, it's a hand me down 2 times over. If it was a nice newish one I wouldn't even think about it.

Been there, done that... my current one is similar, because dining room tables aren't important to me compared with DAC's and power tools...

Keep up the nice work, and please keep us posted!

Moved the polishing operation to the living room (God I'd love an actual workshop), all the dye is on and I've started polishing.

Started on the tops, will move on from there.

And an old music stand holding supplies... (some are more important than others)

That is about 4 bodying sessions on the tops. They are really starting to shine up. I used Arm-R-Seal on the bottoms because, well, they're the bottoms and it is just damn easier. I like the shellac a lot better. I'm using a garnet flake and it just adds some more depth to the red and subdues it where the Arm-R-Seal really brightens it up and makes it pop.

Finally wrapped these up. I will likely not French Polish anything again, LOL! I am pretty pleased with the results though. I have them connected to my HT setup for right now just to make sure everything sounds okay. All appears well. I can't wait to get them on stands and away from the wall with good electronics in front of them.

            Looking very nice! :T

A lot of detail work and effort resulting in what I'd guess is a very satisfying build for you!

Which Halo piece is that on the fireplace?

A23 amp that I picked up broken $150. I talked to Parasound and told them the problem and they guessed it'd be about $125 to fix so if that happens it is a pretty good score.

I bought it to run the speakers. Going to try to pick up a P3 or P/LD2000 around x-mas.

I'm honestly pretty thrilled with how the speakers turned out.
