Jameco finally delivered the P&B SSR this week. Installed it tonight and...same buzzing transformer. I guess the transformer just can't handle the choppy power off the SSR. Looks like we'll be switching places, Chuck. You started off with a mechanical relay and ended up with an SSR. Now I'm going to go mechanical!

      Sonosub build (16") 15.5" ID tube, SS12-22, 15 Hz, replacing an SB-1000
      by Hdale85
I've been running an SVS SB-1000 for a while and I've finally hit the end of what it can do. It's a good little sub and I have no complaints about it for what it is — sealed 12" in about a cubic foot, 300 W, published at 24-260 Hz ±3 dB. But I keep noticing the bottom octave isn't there, and...

Things I like about LspCAD 6
      by JonMarsh
Or, what I'm going to do on my Thanksgiving vacation?

Seriously, though LspCAD 6 hasn't received the warmest of welcomes, due to the pricing on the new version, and lack of availability of a lower cost "standard" version (at this time, only the "Pro" version...

Learning to use LspCAD (Lite Demo)
      by JJones
      Hello,
I've tried a variety of speaker design programs, not really gotten to know any of them. I noticed Mazeroth's thread mentioning LspCAD Lite, and the demo version. This demo version has an important feature that the other demos (LspCAD Std and LspCAD Pro) are missing: You can SAVE your...

      12v Trigger Sanity Check
      by whmacs
      Hi all,
I recently had a new home threatre installed which consists of my current Onkyo 787 receiver acting as a processor and new Rotel RMB-1075 and RB-1070 providing the amplification for a 7.1 setup (which sounds fantasic btw). The problem being that my Onkyo doesn't have a 12 volt trigger...
