I need a little help filling in some of the blanks and checking links. Please post them below and I'll try and incorporate them.

Designers, please feel free to let me know what you want in the comments section, such as: intended for.....

I'm considering adding small thumbnail images, but that could get to be a lot of images. Thoughts?

Hey Ryan - this is a great idea. A few notes and recommendations... As you have quite a few designs left to add, I would recommend that you categorize the lists into a few threads with common titles. Categories may include:

1. 2-way Designs
2. Multi-way Designs
3. Subwoofer Designs

Also, the Statement series is really a joint design. Jim did the driver selection and the cabinets, and Curt did the crossover and final voicing. This would apply to both the center and the minis as well. Jim & Curt - please correct me if I'm wrong.

The RS 3 ways (MTMWW's) are about 1000 bucks in parts I believe.

Is the price on the Khanspires correct? 320-350 bucks? Seems really cheap

IIRC it's ~$1000-1200 on the 3-ways, depending on what exactly you put into 'em.

Edit: I think the unnamed Seas Excel design is worth a mention too. You can't really call it a Thor anymore if you use Jimangie's crossover and one of the linked cabinet designs from Scottmoose.

Lineup MaxxL16 Center Channel and WWMTM can be added to the Lineup Maxx examples. It includes the Seas L16 woofer in place of the TB W5.

I spent a lot of time on this today and made lots of updates. Further updates will have to wait a few days. But, we'll get there.

I agree about adding Dan's Omini's.

I'll also add the Lineup Maxx L16. Jed or Dougie, you mind just typing it up, and then I'll cut and paste it into place. I also need prices for all the different Lineup versions. It took a long time to track everything down, and I was only finding partial BOMs.

I also started to add the Mt8 and some of Jon's OB speakers, but I wasn't seeing enough data.

This is also just the currently active designs. Designs with drivers that are no longer in production, I just don't think belongs.

There I changed it a bit... The woofers are 300 for 4 of them... so the Maxx's are 1000 bucks around. 1200 should be about right...

If anyone else wants to do a quick write up of some of the other designs mentioned, that would be great. HOWEVER, I want to confine this to OUR designs here at HTguide - designs we know are good and that we support. I don't want to be the maintainer of a list of DIY designs that no one here can answer questions about, etc. So keep that in mind before doing a write up of whatever. Someone else can start a thread for the rest of the web. But, I'll warn you that it takes a lot longer than you think to pull all that info together.

Corrections are more than welcomed. I keep seeing a few typos that I'm trying to fix.

Thumbnail photos next, then different organization, because I don't like how the Lineup and Statements get spread out when done by price, but.... price is how most people think until they see the series.

Also you might want to break it up into beginner friendly designs and more advanced designs. I know a lot of people come here asking "Whats a good speaker for a beginner" something like the Statements or Maxx's I would say are intermediate so people look and see something they like it would be nice to know what they are getting into as far as skills required.

Thanks Dennis for suggesting my omni projects. The one you linked, however, though interesting and good for someone contemplating doing an omni design to read, it was never a completed project. Just a single prototype was built and after numerous crossovers, I have not been happy with it, so would not want to publish it as a completed design. The original Mentor omni, I would publish and the HOSS, I would publish. The threads are here, though I never put them in the final form with parts lists, etc.:

I do have a pair of D6.8's AND a pair of RS52's sitting around doing nothing... so it's not as big of a jump as starting from scratch...

Also, for related designs we should provide a link to the xo design that Chris did for the Dennis Murphy WTMW center channel that matches the big 3-ways. I'll see if I can find that this afternoon as well. I think the final design is somewhere around page 8 of that huge thread, but I have to double-check.

Crossover type sounds like a good idea. It really matters to some (and with other starts wars). I'll just need some help from all the designers on what to put in there. Should probably define whether we're talking acoustical or electrical.

I'm willing to add any info the designers find relevant. I think the Design Notes and Comments should be kept short, so someone skimming can actually read all the way to the end of the post in one sitting.

These can maybe even be combined??? My original thought was:

Design Notes: Technical information relevant to the build. Such as Crossover used, or PE Box, etc.
Comments: Non-technical information. Such as design intent: wall placement, small boxes or box size no problem, just wanted to try the W4 driver out, sound goal was to have a warm sounding speaker, etc. Something short to help someone a little more between deciding between say a Modula MT and the LineupD2. I like the entry for CJD's MTM, about perfect in my mind.

I'll keep updating to add information as you guys post it below. But, my #1 goal is to have extreme consistency from one entry to the next to make it as easy as possible to compare and read. Beyond that, I'm open to suggestions.

Oh and from now on to save time and thread length, I'll just make the noted corrections and only post a response if needed.

RS 3-way design notes (at least this is what I was shooting for when I started my original thread): Sealed enclosure designed for maximum SPL capabilities from 40Hz and up when crossed to a capable subwoofer.

Other comments: Vocals and mids energize the air in a way that you can almost feel. Very live sounding speakers without being harsh.

not only is there a complete family of MTM, WMTW cc and sub, but there is a whole second design that is truly a bose buster with tiny single driver sats, smal l MT cc and a sub.
