    Oh S!#*T

Sorry to bring this over here midway into the problem, but Lex thought this might be a better place for it...and it is. The original post is over in the Chalet, under "Lex, I need computer help".
I reinstalled the old DVD drive, again no change the "loader error" still exists
I can get into windows and DOS with no problem.
I checked the "startup" folder in the start menu, there is nothing in there...even though "my computer", "recycle bin" and "PowerDVD" are still showing up minimized on startup.

      WindowsXP startup
      by ekkoville
I am trying to figure out again what command to use in order to show the programs running in the backround and which ones are loading on startup. It used to be a oneline command in the Run box, like msconfig, but that doesn't seem to work with XP. Anyone know what it might be?

      Thanks
