Power Supply P4????

Hello

I was wondering I am switching to a P4 1.6 and need a new power supply .
What size or power supply (watts)
What is a good brand or does it matter ?

You will need a P4 approved power supply. It requires a special 4 pin plug with an addition & separate 6 pin connector.

Just make sure that you purchase a power supply that states it is P4 ready or ask your seller.


The amount of output really depends on what you are running and how many other accessories you plan on running. A general gudie is to use a 300W PS as a minimum, however I tend to state 350W as a minumum.

Enermax, Antec, Silent Power are very good brand names. More generic are Deer which will do the job adequately.
