    Laptop to DLP HDMI

Well, we have a new Mitsubishi DLP TV in the house now, and I would like to hook up a laptop to it (to play movies from my hard drive). I know the TV has 2 HDMI inputs, so what would be the best way to connect them? Some of the movies and TV episodes are in HD (probably 780i), so quality's important. The laptop is a Dell Inspiron 9300.

    Thanks for the help!

    dvi to hdmi
do NOT use monster all in one dvi- hdmi
they lack the pins necissary for laptop use
get a pc based dvi and buy an hdmi to dvi adapter

i do not know if your dell has dvi but that is the best way
    also you mean 720P

I too send DVI from my Dell Inspiron (9200 in my case) to my HDMI projector. I use a HDMI cable and a DVI to HDMI adapter jack that I bought from Gefen. Works okay, although some of the display settings look a little funny.

i only recomend the dvi because the cost can be significantly less than an hdmi

Well, of course I get one today that didn't work. Went to my local RadioCrap store and asked, they pointed me to the Monster adapter that plugs into the back (DVI) and converts to HDMI. Got a great picture, but no sound--so I guess the Monster adapter didn't have the right pinouts on the DVI side to get the audio. Guess I'll keep looking...
