I just received the Scientific American 8300HD box from Adelphia. I have it setup to automatically detect the best picture settings(480i, 1080i, etc.). Well tuning in to a HD channel my tv went all white. All the channels are white now with the exception of the info bar along the bottom of the tv. To eliminate the cable box as the problem I switched to my dvd player on component video 2 and all i have is a green screen with fuzzies on it when I press play.
1) I'm assuming this is a problem the the tuner on the television;
2) Can it be fixed?
Also, I hooked up the cable box to the tv on AV1 and the picture is fine.
